Sorry for being quiet the past few days, just got back from Kathmandu, Nepal last night! Fell in love with the city! Its a beautiful place to visit! Unfortunately because of the rain we were not able to visit the mountains. So we stayed in the city and visited different places.
On the first day, we went to a place called “Thamel” its basically small alley ways of different kinds of shops one after the other as well as restaurants and bars.
Streets of Thamel
You find guys like this every 10 feet trying to sell musical instruments such as bamboo flutes and tiny guitars
Had a yummy pizza at a place called “Road house grill” in Thamel
After that we took a cab to “Monkey Temple”, most cab drivers ask for high prices as petrol is expensive there but you can bargain with them if its a short distance.
This is the view from “Monkey Temple”
The entrance to “Monkey Temple”
Once you enter the Temple you need to turn these things while walking
Monkeys all around the place!
Different characters sitting outside the Bhuddist Temple
This is the area where the living Goddess “Kumari” lives
After this we visited a famous place called “Freak Street”
On Sunday we went to “Patan Durbar Square”
We then went to a Tibetan Bhuddist Temple in Boudhanath. Tibetan people are very holy, they walk around the temple praying.
The shops in the Temple were selling different kinds of things!
And thats about it! Its a beautiful country to visit! The weather was amazing, it would rain in the morning and a bit in the night and the evenings were a bit cold! It was so relaxing! If you ever have the chance to visit Kathmandu you should!
